SUBJECT: Parks and Open Lands Arson

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Parks and Open Lands of Larimer County have asked our help in locating the suspect of two arson incidents in Larimer County. We, in turn, are asking for help from the public.

On Sunday, August 19, 2007, at approximately 6:00 A.M., Poudre Fire Authority responded to Lions Park at Overland Trail and the Poudre River, on a report of a fire at a picnic shelter. The shelter itself and two picnic tables were destroyed. The total property loss was over $20,000.

Another picnic table was burned at that same location two weeks before.
